Although initially disguised as a civilian airliner, it evolved into one of the most feared bombers of the war.
With its fully glazed nose and large, elliptical wings, the H-6 was the most widely produced variant of this famous bomber and was used in all theaters of war during World War II, whether as a bomber, torpedo bomber, minelayer, or reconnaissance aircraft.
With no effective replacement, these aircraft remained in service until the end of the war.
