The Hampden is undoubtedly one of the most distinctive British aircraft of WWII.
It was an impressively manoeuvrable medium-range bomber that saw much service in the early stages of the war.
Its narrow 3ft wide fuselage earned it the nickname 'Flying Suitcase'. It was used in the RAF's first bombing raid on Berlin in August 1940.
