The Hawker Hurricane was a single-seat British fighter aircraft of the 1930s and 1940s, designed and mainly built by Hawker Aircraft Ltd. for the Royal Air Force.
The Hurricane was developed in several versions: Interceptor, Fighter-Bomber and Ground Combat aircraft.
Operation Jubilee or "The Dieppe Raid" on 19 August 1942 was an Allied amphibious landing on the German occupied port of Dieppe in northern France. Over 6050 soldiers, mostly Canadians - supported by a tank regiment, were brought ashore by a naval force.
After less than six hours, mounting losses forced a retreat. The operation turned into a fiasco.
The Luftwaffe put up maximum resistance to the landing, the RAF losing 106 aircraft against 48 German losses.
Two plastic model kits in a special edition commemorating the landing at Dieppe (Operation Jubilee).
unbuilt / unpainted
