The Vought F4U Corsair was an American fighter aircraft primarily used in World War II and the Korean War.
The Corsair was developed and operated as a carrier-based aircraft and saw significant service with the US Navy in late 1944 and early 1945.
She quickly became one of the most capable carrier-based fighter-bombers of World War II.
The machines were also used with great success in the Korean War.
