The Hawker Hunter T.7 was the two-seat trainer and conversion variant of the British Hawker Hunter fighter aircraft. Entering service in 1957, the trainer featured side-by-side seating and was primarily used for the training and conversion of Hunter pilots. The T.7A was a modernized variant with improved navigation and instrumentation; it was used, among other things, for training pilots for the Blackburn Buccaneer. Powered by a Rolls-Royce Avon turbojet, the Hunter T.7 reached speeds just under Mach 0.9 and—depending on the specific configuration—could be equipped with a 30mm ADEN cannon and external stores. Externally, both variants are distinguished primarily by their characteristic wide, two-seat cockpit and the Hunter's sleek fuselage profile.
