Differences between the Fw 190 A-3 and A-4:
- Tail fin: On the A-4, the antenna was mast-like at the top of the tail fin, while on the A-3 it is an integral part of the fin.
- Radio: The A-4 was equipped with a FuG 16, while the A-3 had a FuG 7, along with the corresponding control panel and bulkhead components.
- Head armor: The A-4 has larger head armor, while the A-3 has a slightly smaller, specially designed head armor available in two versions to match the cockpit design (open/closed).
- Ailerons: The A-4 is equipped with the medium version with more ribs, while the A-3 has the early version with fewer ribs.
