Me262 A-1a/U4 5cm MK-214 Limited Conversion kit

The Me 262 A-1a/U4 remains one of the most fascinating and least documented variants of the world’s first operational jet fighter. Built around the massive 5 cm MK 214A cannon, the U4 was intended as a long-range bomber destroyer — an extreme late-war attempt to turn the Me 262 into a heavy anti-bomber platform.

This Limited Edition conversion set was developed specifically for the upcoming Das Werk Me 262 in 1/32 scale and recreates the U4 installation with a level of technical and historical detail previously unavailable in scale form.

The set includes the enlarged U4 nose section, a detailed internal MK 214A cannon installation, reconstructed ammunition feed components, spent case ejection details, nose compartment structure, prototype-specific nose gear options, a turned aluminium barrel, decals and a printed research booklet documenting the reconstruction process.
