                        The M109 is an American 155mm self-propelled howitzer first introduced in the early 1960s to replace the M44.
The A6 "Paladin" version built from 1992 featured a new turret, an improved M284 gun and M182A1 cradle, a more secure internal ammo storage arrangement, and engine and chassis upgrades. An inertial navigation system was installed, with sensors to detect gun orientation and improved wind and temperature sensors. E
A digital communication system was also integrated.
Within 30 seconds, the Paladin is able to aim and fire with the same accuracy as before,
