F3H-2N/M, improved version of the F3H-2. Flown on 11 January 1955, replaced an Allison J71 A-2 engine, fitted an APG-51 radar, increased the number of 20mm cannons to four. Entered service in March 1956 with VF-14. F3H-2Ms flown on 23 August 1955, used four Sperry Sparrow I (AAM-N-2), redesignated F-3C in 1962.
