Robin Hood stands as one of the most iconic characters in British folklore, symbolising defiance against oppression and a defender of the oppressed. From the heart of Sherwood Forest, this famed outlaw and his Merry Men conducted a relentless campaign against the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham and his oppressive rule. The tales of Robin Hood have been handed down through the ages, evolving from medieval ballads into the rich stories we know today. Whether ambushing tax collectors on forest trails, sneaking into Nottingham Castle, or protecting the innocent from unjust treatment, Robin Hood's adventures represented the struggle between the common people and their feudal lords. His signature act of taking from the rich and giving to the poor elevated him from a mere outlaw to a folk hero, inspiring numerous adaptations in literature, film, and popular culture.
