With the Arizona Class Space Battleship Arizona (BB-101), BANDAI SPIRITS brings one of the most distinctive capital ships from Be Forever Yamato: REBEL3199 to the workbench as a highly detailed plastic model kit in 1:1000 scale.

The Arizona – a classic returns

An original version of the Arizona first appeared in 1980 in Space Battleship Yamato III, the third classic television series of the franchise. For Be Forever Yamato: REBEL3199, the ship was reinterpreted by mechanical designer Junichiro Tamamori and adapted to the design language of the modern Yamato series.

At 337 metres in length, the new Arizona is even slightly longer than the 333-metre Yamato.

From emigration vessel to space battleship

Within the REBEL3199 continuity, the Arizona originated from a North American emigration vessel whose construction began during the Garmillas War. After construction was suspended in favour of the Yamato project, the already largely completed inner hull was taken up again after the war and further developed into a space battleship.

The inner- and outer-hull concept known from Yamato was further developed into a modular construction system. Four large outer-hull modules surround the central inner hull, allowing the ship to be flexibly upgraded and modernised over time.

The model kit

BANDAI SPIRITS recreates the distinctive shape of the Arizona using completely newly developed tooling. Despite its 1:1000 scale, the hull features numerous finely reproduced surface details and panel lines.

When completed, the model measures approximately 33.7 cm in length, giving it an impressive presence even when displayed alongside other vessels from the 1:1000 Yamato series.

The barrels of both the main guns and secondary guns are movable.

Transparent positron shockwave effect parts are included in three different sizes to recreate the ship firing its main batteries. Three effect parts of each size are supplied, allowing for an impressive combat display.

An angle-adjustable display base allows the model to be presented in a variety of flight and display positions. The kit also includes a foil sticker with the ship's name for the display base as well as waterslide decals featuring various markings.

Optional illumination

The model is also designed to accommodate separately available LED units. These can be used to illuminate areas including the bow section and Wave-Motion-Gun system, the engine section and the bridge.

The LED units are not included.
