The Bf 109, the most produced and iconic aircraft in history, boasts the highest production numbers among the G-Type variants, and the G-6 (late model) is arguably the most complete mass-produced version, featuring heavy armament and high power output.

This model meticulously reproduces the differences between each variant based on thorough research of the actual aircraft and in-depth historical analysis.

The armament on the upper part of the nose was replaced from an MG 17/7.92mm machine gun to an MG 131/13mm machine gun, and accordingly, a bulge was added to the gun cowl to cover the ejection chute.

Other, the standard inclusion of the MW50 (water-methanol injection system) allows for a temporary increase in power output during takeoff, climb, and interception, transforming it into a truly high-performance interceptor fighter.

What was the smooth, streamlined aerodynamic design that gave the Bf 109 its unique speed and agility?
The inverted V-type liquid-cooled 12-cylinder DB 605 engine has a small cross-section, enabling a streamlined and compact airframe shape.

The inverted V-shaped arrangement of the cylinders allowed weapons to be mounted on top of the engine, closer to the pilot's line of sight, and also improved firing accuracy.

The aircraft's nose is armed with two MG 131/13mm machine guns.
A distinctive feature of the G-type is the bulging cover that surrounds the ejection chute, which protrudes laterally from the main body of the gun.

The motor cannon, which runs through the engine, was replaced with the MK 108/30mm autocannon, which has immense destructive power, in some Type from the G-5 onwards, but this kit uses the MG 151/20mm autocannon that was installed in the early models.

The Bf 109's canopy, up until the mid-G model, consisted of three blocks: a rectangular front windshield, a central side-opening windshield, and a fixed rear windshield.

In the early G-type models, the cabin was pressurized, and airtight seals were installed on all opening and closing parts.
Furthermore, bulletproof glass is now standard equipment, and both the front windshield and the central window frame are thicker and more robust.

On the cockpit wall, a pipe for checking the fuel level extends from the L-shaped 400-liter fuel tank located at the rear of the cockpit, and in SWS kit, this is reproduced in detail with clear Parts, just like the actual aircraft.

Main improvements to the late model Bf 109 G-6
Enhanced firepower
The nose armament of the "G-4" was an MG 17/7.92mm machine gun, but this was changed to an MG 131/13mm heavy machine gun in the "G-6 (later model)".
Accordingly, a bulge was added to the gun cowl, and the bottom cover was also changed to one compatible with the MG 131.

Output improvement
The MW50 (water-methanol injection system), which was installed on some G-4 aircraft, became standard equipment on the G-6 (later model), allowing for a temporary increase in power output during takeoff, ascent, and interception.

Suspension reinforcement
To support the increased weight due to the increased armament and equipment, the main landing gear tires were enlarged from 650 mm x 150 mm on the "G-4" to 660 mm x 160 mm on the "G-6 (later model)".
In addition, the tail wheel was also enlarged, from 290 mm x 110 mm on the "G-4" to 350 mm x 135 mm on the "G-6 (later model)".

Improved visibility and handling
While the canopy of the "G-4" was a box-shaped three-block structure, the "G-6 (later model)" adopted the later model Erla-Haube canopy with fewer frames, significantly improving rearward and side visibility.

Modernization of electronic equipment and control systems
The gunsight was the Revi12 on the "G-4," but it was updated to the Revi16 on the "G-6 (later model)," and the instrument panel was also changed to a new design.

Aerodynamic and exterior refinement
The "G-4" had Type long antenna mast, but the "G-6 (later model)" had a shorter Type, and the Morane antenna was also eliminated.
