The AS332 Super Puma is a medium-weight, twin-engine helicopter with a four-blade rotor, developed by the French company Aérospatiale (now Airbus Helicopters). Equipped with two Turbomeca engines, it achieves a cruising speed of 260 km/h. Thanks to a range of 800 km, the airframe is designed for intensive use in all environments, including long-range missions.
The retractable landing gear significantly improves aerodynamics in flight. These qualities have earned the "Super Puma" a reputation over time as a robust and reliable helicopter, ideally suited for the most demanding military and civilian missions. To further extend its service life, it has also been continuously modernized with regard to avionics and electronic navigation systems.
