Type HY Commercial Van

After the end of World War II, the French brand Citroën developed a range of simple, affordable panel vans and light trucks, initially known as the Type H.

Their distinctive design featured an extended nose, rear-hinged "suicide" cab doors, a low, flat floor, and extensive use of corrugated iron body panels. They underwent only minor modifications during their 34-year production run, but their popularity, with over 473,000 examples produced, made them iconic vehicles.

This kit represents the Type HY panel van as produced from early 1964 to late 1969. It featured a simple windshield, short angles on the grille, a vertical handle on the sliding door, and a square rear window.

The decal sheet includes the markings of four colorful vehicles used by private companies from France and the Netherlands.
