One of the most glamorous aircraft types of all time, the Boeing 314 Clipper was designed to transport passengers and cargo across the vast Atlantic and Pacific oceans with style and comfort that rivaled that of the great ocean liners.

Twelve aircraft were produced for Pan American World Airways and BOAC. However, with the onset of World War II, these opulent flying boats were primarily used for military purposes, for example, as transport for Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill.
