As they were deployed in the swampy, forested terrain, their movement was largely limited to roads and tracks, which significantly limited their operational capability.

One of the Tigers got stuck in the swampy terrain and had to be abandoned.
It was recovered largely undamaged, which enabled the Soviets to analyze its design.
