
In 1934, the prototypes of the tank were manufactured by Skoda and CKD.
Both prototypes were tested in mid-1935. In the end, the Skoda design won the competition and was then produced jointly by both companies from 1936 onwards.
The Skoda LT Vz.35 weighed 10.5 tons and had a crew of three.
The maximum armor thickness was 25 mm and the main gun is a 37 mm and a 7.92 mm coaxial machine gun.
By the end of 1936, a total of 298 such tanks had been manufactured for use in the Czech Army.
In addition, 136 units of this tank were exported to Romania, Afghanistan, Bulgaria and other countries.
After the German Wehrmacht occupied Czechoslovakia in March 1938, it renamed the Skoda LT Vz.35 light tank the Type 35 (t) tank and put it into service.
This tank was often used in combat operations against Poland, France and Russia.
This tank was decommissioned in early 1942 and 26 of them were sold to Romania.
