The T-26 was the first mass-produced Soviet infantry support tank. It was armed with DT machine guns in two rotating turrets. Some tanks featured a 37 mm cannon in the right turret. A total of 11,000 T-26s were produced. Approximately 300 tanks were delivered to the Spanish Republic and used in the Spanish Civil War. Captured T-26s were used by the Finnish, German, Romanian, and Hungarian armies.
