2205 M4A1 76(w) HVSS
The M4 Sherman medium tank was the main battle tank of the United States during World War II.
It was mass-produced and formed the backbone of the United States armored forces at the time.
Several versions were manufactured.
The first large-scale version was the M4A1, which featured a cast upper hull.
It was armed with the 75mm cannon, which was replaced by the 76mm high-velocity cannon in the later A1 vehicles.
Thanks to its Continental R975 gasoline engine, the tank performed well on and off-road.
The Sherman was reliable and easy to produce in large numbers.

2206 M1 Super Sherman
Following Israel's declaration of independence in 1948, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) chose the M4 Sherman as its first standard-issue tank.
In the mid-1950s, the IDF purchased a significant number of M4A1 Shermans armed with the 76.2 mm M1 cannon to counter the T-34-85s of the Arab armies.
These tanks were designated M1 Super Shermans due to their armament, to distinguish them from earlier variants with 75 mm cannons.
Many featured cast hulls, air-cooled radial engines, and vertical volute suspension (VVSS).
They first entered service on October 29, 1956, and some remained in service until the 1970s.
