The M4 Sherman (officially Medium Tank, M4) was the most widely used tank by the United States and the Western Allies in World War II.

The M4 variant was equipped with a Continental R-975 radial engine. The M4 Composite was a later variant of the M4 that combined a cast front section with the welded components of the rear hull.
