The development, based on a specific need of the OKH, was launched in 1937 and carried out by Zundapp and BMW.
Thanks to the 751 cm³ boxer two-cylinder engine with 26 hp, the KS 750 was able to reach a top speed of 95 km/h.
A “four-speed” arrangement with reverse gear was adopted for the transmission.
Together with the BMW R75, with which the KS750 shared many technical components to improve ease of maintenance and availability of spare parts, it was used for a wide range of tasks from transport to reconnaissance. For several tasks it was very soon replaced by the Kübelwagen, which was more practical and easier to manufacture and maintain.
It could be armed with an MG34 machine gun installed in the sidecar.
