It was produced in numerous versions and configurations to precisely meet the needs of its commercial users. The Turbostar achieved its greatest commercial success with the two-axle "road tractor" version, a segment in which it became the benchmark for road transport during the 1980s.
In 1983, Iveco launched the 190.38 "Cowboy," distinguished by its striking "American-style" exhaust pipes, roof spoiler, and a host of aesthetic and comfort features and options.
The "Cowboy" is today one of the most attractive and desirable trucks in the Iveco range of this era.
