The USS Bogue was the lead ship of the same class of escort aircraft carriers, which were manufactured from 1942 to 1943 and mainly served as convoy escort ships in the Atlantic.
But they were also responsible for the sinking of many German submarines and the Japanese submarine I-52, which was on its way to Germany.
