Trabant 601 S

Trabant was a car brand manufactured in the GDR by VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke in Zwickau. The model 601 came on the market in 1964 and was produced until 1990. Several technically interesting solutions were used in Trabant cars. Among other things, these were bodies made of plastic called thermosetting plastics. It had a melting point similar to aluminum and increased the car's resistance to corrosion and pressure. Other notable solutions include a small two-stroke engine, large windows, and a relatively spacious interior. The car developed a dizzying speed of just over 100 km / h.
The Trabant can rightly be called a cult car from the GDR. To this day, it is a recognizable and extremely popular classic among car enthusiasts.
