Alicante (Spain) is home to FC Model Trend, one of our long-term partners. Federico Collada has been producing kits there since 2014, then from 2015 he specialized in 3D printing of small parts.
Characteristic of this company is the variety of different scales (1/16, 1/24, 1/35, 1/48, 1/72) in which models and military accessories small parts are produced.

They often release new stuff

On approx. 300m² there are about 50 printers, 3Dprinters and and also some special ones, with the help of which he and two employees eagerly produce the highly requested model parts.
In the meantime, FC Model Trend has already released over 1200 items, almost all of which are also permanently available because they are printed directly on site. Monthly up to ten new products are launched here in order to keep up with the trend.

From an interesting life to a lifelong dream

At the age of 13, Federico Collada discovered his passion for model making when his parents gave him a T-34/76 (tank model) from Matchbox. His varied professional career includes DJ, hotel receptionist, designer and salesman. He also made a name for himself as a writer on modeling topics.
His blog FC Modeltips gained attention in expert circles and was later the inspiration for the company name FC Model Trend.

When was the first 3D-printed product released?

In 2014, he released the first product under that name, a Spanish FT-17 (Renault Tank) decals set to give the model an authentic look. Then, a year later, the first 3D-printed model was released.
Since Federico Collada produces everything himself in his company and also surprises again and again with new releases, FC Model Trend has of course become a full-time job for him. But in this way he was able to realize a long-cherished lifelong dream.
