As the first mass-produced jet fighter, the Messerschmitt Me 262 is one of the pioneering designs in aircraft construction. The fighter-bomber developed at the end of the Second World War was indispensable for the Air Force. Due to the massive bombing of the Allies, production had to be relocated to underground tunnels and forests. Rich in detail, with contemporary and partly unpublished photos, sketches and plans, this volume describes the relocation to the secret production facilities. This was only possible through the use of forced labor - a chapter that the author does not omit.
