Italy was already using tanks in World War I and had two manufacturing companies of its own, Fiat and Ansaldo. This continued into World War II and resulted in a number of self-constructed light and medium-weight models. With the P40, there was even a heavy type. Hungary based its own developments on Czech or Swedish models. In addition, Italian and German tanks were used. Romania had Czech Pz 35 (t) tanks.
