The Chengdu J-20 is a single-seat, twin-engine aircraft, larger and heavier than the Sukhoi T-50 and the F-22.
The J-20 features a canard-delta design (like Chengdu's J-10) with two raked, fully movable vertical stabilizers (like the T-50) and smaller raked ventral fins.
Its stealth shape is similar to that of the F-22. The flat fuselage sides are aligned with the raked rear wings, the wing-fuselage transition is clean, and the forward fuselage is enclosed by a sharp chine.
The bank angles are greater than those of the Lockheed Martin F-35, and the frameless canopy is similar to that of the F-22.
