Plastic model kit of a British military observation aircraft from the 1950s, here in the version as an expedition aircraft. When those responsible for the 1956 Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition were looking for a suitable reconnaissance and support aircraft, they knew exactly where to turn, as Auster Aircraft Company is known as an exceptional aerial observation aircraft with great short-range performance. The Auster Aircraft Company was asked to modify two of its T.7 twin-control aircraft specifically for this task, with additional radio equipment, larger tail surfaces and the ability to be fitted with floats or skis as required. The aircraft were also painted in a high-visibility scheme to prepare them for the conditions expected during an expedition that it was hoped would result in the first overland crossing of Antarctica via the South Pole. 39 parts, built length 100 mm / width 152 mm / height 35 mm.
