The Grumman S-2 Tracker was the first purpose-built submarine-hunting aircraft to enter service with the United States Navy.
It was a conventionally designed propeller-driven aircraft with two radial engines, a high-wing wing that could be folded for storage on aircraft carriers, and a tricycle landing gear.
The Dutch Navy first entered service with the S-2A in 1961.
It retired the last aircraft in 1976
