France was the first country to produce a jet aircraft that allowed low-cost pilot training, the FOUGA CM 170. Thanks to technical qualities, the MAGISTER was the first training machine in which a pilot could undergo a complete training up to mastery of the fighter aircraft: basic training, advanced training , aerobatics, flying blind, night flying, target practice, bombing, etc. The maiden flight of the prototype took place on July 23, 1952. In addition to the French Air Force, about 15 other countries had used the Magister.
