The Lockheed C-130 Hercules has the second longest service life in the US Air Force after the B-52.
Introduced in 1956, the C-130 has been the primary medium-capacity cargo aircraft ever since.
The new C-130 J-30 is equipped with Rolls-Royce turboprop engines and the new Dowty six-blade propellers. This transporter will be in service well into the 21st century.
