When it released its first 1/35 Tiger I kit, Dragon created a milestone because of its extreme degree of detail, multimedia components and engineering excellence. This same level of detail is available in 1/72 scale, and the newest small-scale edition of the Tiger I is an Initial Production tank of s.Pz.Abt.502. This heavy tank battalion is distinguished by the fact that it was the first to deploy the new Tiger I tank in combat. Formed in August 1942, s.Pz.Abt.502 arrived at the Leningrad front and it was soon using its Tiger tanks in battle. Dragon’s new kit allows modelers to produce the specific vehicles that was operational in the Leningrad region in February 1943 – a Tiger I with tactical number "3".
