The No. 2 tank bridge was ready for use in just 1.5 minutes and spanned a 9-meter-wide gap with a track load of Class 60 and a wheel load of Class 40. The one-piece bridge was mounted on the turretless tank. The boom arm was attached to the front of the tank by means of a swiveling mechanism with rollers, the other end of the arm being in the middle of the bridge. The bridge remained horizontal across the gap during raising and lowering thanks to the swiveling arm.
