The Kübelwagen Type 82 is one of the most famous military vehicles of the Second World War.
It was designed by engineer Ferdinand Porsche and produced by German manufacturer Volkswagen.
The project was created with the aim of having a simple vehicle that was easy to build and easy to maintain and repair.
Great simplicity in the frame arrangement too: just a center tube and the rear mount for the engine and gearbox.
Thanks to its gasoline engine with a displacement of 998 cm3, the Kübelwagen reached a top speed of 80 km/h.
The vehicle did not have four-wheel drive, but was extremely reliable on all terrains and present on all fronts, often in very difficult ones.
The Kübelwagen could be equipped with a mount for an MG34 or MG42 machine gun
