The B-25 was used by many Allied air forces and served in every theater of World War II and many remained in service after the war ended.
The RAF received almost 900 Mitchells. The Mitchell entered service with the RAF on 22 January 1943.
Initially, it was used to bomb targets in occupied Europe.
After the Normandy invasion, the RAF and France used Mitchells in support of the Allies in Europe.
