The only positive aspect of this model is the subject, which is rare, especially in 1:48. But the design, construction and production are of absymal quality: Plans are incorrect in numbering and unclear in detail, most of the parts have to placed using only your eyes and guessing (no useful notches), nothing fits properly (all holes had to widend to accomodate the round parts to be inserted), parts are badly molded, the plastic overly weak and soft, so parts often broke when cut from the spruces, spruce gates are very think, making cutting the parts away without damage quite difficult, the PE is nearly unusable, too thin and prone to break at the sightest touch. It took me many weeks to build the model (just finished today) not because it is complex, but because the overall very bad quality drove me insane after more than an hour of working with on the model. That must be the experience of old modellers in the very past when they say "The model fought me on every step to the bitter end". As I am used to Tamiya-level quality, this model was a bad shock, which is a shame, as the topic it depicts is quite interesting.
